"Part of being an artist is being relevant, and I don’t want to just work in my own little artist silo and not have it affect anybody. I really want this to affect people. I really want people to feel empowered and part of the community. "

"Taking a nuanced approach, Schaeffer includes QR codes throughout the book that link to interactive content such as video interviews, Topographic Maps and animated illustrations.
It fits just as nicely in your ski backpack as it does on the coffee table."
"Bryan Schaeffer uses illustration to get people outdoors. It seems like Bryan uses illustration and animation to engage his audience in a way that other mediums cannot."

"With this multimedia Platform, Bryan created a new category of book."
"This is my favorite type of book because it gets to the point." It's really the best of both worlds - beautifully illustrated book and you get the digital world if you want it. It's always great to have a reference guide to get you started."
Our family loves skiing SW Montana’s greater Yellowstone region. This community project has been a joy to work on and collaborate with our team of designers, map makers, animators and local experts. Explore Montana's greater Yellowstone region on skis!
Bryan was born in Bozeman, MT. Son of a Forest Ranger and English Teacher - Growing up he was always curious about what may be lurking around the next switchback, mountain pass or pitch.
Bryan learned to ski on trails his dad build in the Pioneers near Dillon. As an adult he trains with the Bridger Ski Foundation Master Skiers Training Groups and hopes to "participate" in more AXCS Masters World Cup Events.
He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Washington state with a BFA degree in graphic design.
Bryan owns the award-winning creative studio SINTR®, based in Bozeman where he lives with his wife and three daughters. Along with his family and an-eager-to-adventure golden doodle, he enjoys recreating on Montana's public lands.
He is the creator of Best of the Northwest, a video and GPS resource for hiking and skiing trails in western Washington which includes over 227 trail videos with affiliated GPS tracks and helpful details about the trails.
